My goals as Sheriff of Price County will be to protect and serve with dignity and respect. Also, I want to bring transparency and communication to the citizens of Price County. I have, over my years in the Marine Corps and Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, experienced many different situations, such as responding to emergencies and investigating crimes. I worked in Corrections, Patrol, Evidence Technician, Arson Investigator, Police School Liaison, and Investigator. As a Non-commissioned Officer in the Marine Corps, I was awarded Meritorious Mast for excellence as a leader and Good Conduct metal. While employed at Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office for 28 years, I was nominated 4 times for Officer of the Year by my peers, recognized by Hortonville School district for excellent performance as a police school liaison officer, and received the Best Badge Award – Exceptional Response to a Complex and Chaotic Crash Scene in 2016.

"I’m pleased to endorse John Brylski for Price County Sheriff. John served as my Police School Liaison Officer during my tenure as principal at Hortonville High School. He served the high school of one thousand students as well as the two elementary schools and the middle school. He did a commendable job working with parents, students, and staff. John also was our Track & Field coach boys & girls and helped coach the middle School Football Team for four years. John would make a fine sheriff." Ron Conradt, Principal Hortonville High School "As a school administrator in the Fox Valley, I worked closely with Deputy/Detective/PSL John Brylski. No matter how big the issue, he was dedicated to finding the true facts of each case." Bruce Carew, Principal Greenville Elementary School "I would like to endorse John Brylski for Price County Sheriff. John is an outstanding officer and person. I had worked with him at Hortonville Middle School when he was our police liaison officer. I was and still am one of the secretaries at the middle school. When he started, it was a relatively new position in the area schools. He did an amazing job helping to make the position an important part of our school system. His wealth of knowledge and ability to communicate well with students, parents and staff made it work extremely well. He was also involved with coaching at the middle school. Coaching and being an active member of the community helped students to know that if they had questions or concerns they could reach out to our liaison officer. His talks at school helped our middle schoolers understand what the consequences are when making poor choices. Middle schoolers do not always think about their actions so it was nice to have someone that could reach them and make them think a little before they may make a choice that could affect them for a long time. He is always fair and respectable. John would definitely go above and beyond to do the best job possible." Kathy Paltzer, Secretary Hortonville Middle School "John Brylski was our School Resource Officer in the 1990’s. Officer Brylski was dedicated to his chosen profession of law enforcement and a valuable liaison between the school and community. He was focused and worked with an acute attention to detail. Any endeavor requiring his involvement would be well-documented and resolved in a thorough fashion." Larry Sikowski, Retired School Principal Hortonville Area School District "Now more than ever our country needs upstanding individuals who will uphold the law. I have known John for some time. He is a stand-out leader, and John Brylski will make a fine Sheriff." Thomas M. Nelson, County ExecutiveOutagamie County Former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 5th Assembly District, 2005 - 2011 "I want to thank John Brylski for coming to my home and video interviewing me concerning my then 16 year old daughter, Lisa Talley's physical abuse, bruising and stalking. My daughter, Lisa, told me at the hands of then Price County's Deputy Schmidt, I personally observed these bruises and stalking by Brian Schmidt in the early 1990s in the Town of Prentice where we lived. I told John, Brian, at the time, was a monster with a badge!!" Patricia Talley Mother of Lisa Talley
